Intro

Adam Gould, our Head of Quantitative Research, will periodically publish insights and key findings in this space. In addition to his Factor Strategy updates and Social AI, Quant Commentary is another avenue through which Adam shares his research that routinely beats the S&P 500 Index. He shares his data to find patterns and averages, make predictions, test relationships, and generalize results.
For example, Adam published a piece about the rise of the stock pickers. He explained how the environment in 2022 has been favorable for stick picking, despite a struggling overall market. He provided two measures to evaluate the degree of stock independence, both of which indicate stock performance is being driven to a large degree by idiosyncratic (stock-specific) concerns.
